Therapy

FOR CHILDREN, ADULTS, PARENTS/CAREGIVERS & FAMILIES

I believe strongly that parents are the experts of their children and that my job is to work in collaboration with parents/guardians, families and children in order to instill change.

Parents

  • Individual Therapy- Parenting a neurodivergent child

If parenting your child is complicated by the onset of mental health diagnoses, we can work together to process different strategies and techniques that can help your child to thrive.

  • Individual Therapy- Being the parent of a neurodivergent child

Being a parent can unleash a host of inner struggles, past traumas, and our own mental health difficulties. Working together we can create a safe space to unpack your inner workings to make being a parent feel less daunting.

  • Couples Counseling- Couples who need guidance in parenting their unique child

Being a couple and parenting is a challenge all on its own. Blending parenting styles, individual familial history, and communication about parenting can be difficult for the best of caregivers. Working together, we can highlight your individual strengths, how to use those strengths to parent as a unit, and how to communicate differences in a manageable and supportive way.

  • If you were born with the weakness to fall, you were born with the strength to rise.

Adults

  • I work with adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. My goal is to form a genuine collaborative relationship with my clients in order to help to elicit change. My hope is that we can work together to process your past, plan for your future, and to be in your present in the most harmonious and adaptive way possible.

  • I draw upon Internal Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic frameworks when working with adults. I believe we all have parts within ourselves that can be ready to change, adapt, and heal in order for us to participate in life in a truly fulfilling way.

“I would rather be the child of a mother who has all the inner conflicts of a human being than be mothered by someone for whom all is easy and smooth, who knows all the answers, and is a stranger to doubt.”
